“Right Turn on White” General Services Administration, Strom Thurmond Federal Building, Columbia, SC – 1978
Right Turn on White is a beacon for entry to the site and a visual director of safe passage through the space. The challenge of this work of art was to integrate two buildings of extremely disparate size and use with a work of art that was both a reference to the architecture and a reference to the public who continually circulate around and under it.
